Robust energy storage for maritime applications

The EOH 1.1 is TESVOLT OCEAN’s DNV-certified LFP battery system designed for maritime projects where safety, cost efficiency and operational reliability are essential.

Its rack-free architecture and modular system design enable reliable battery integration even in space-constrained technical environments on board. The system supports both newbuild vessels and retrofit projects across a wide range of maritime applications.

Based on the proven EOH 1.0 platform

EOH 1.1 builds on the proven architecture of the EOH 1.0 and further develops it for improved integration in maritime applications. It retains the core principles of safety, modularity and operational reliability, while introducing greater flexibility for different vessel layouts.

Flexible installation for maritime projects

Rack-free plug-&-stack architecture

The rack-free plug-&-stack design allows battery modules to be installed without additional rack systems. This reduces system complexity and enables straightforward integration across both newbuild and retrofit projects. The modular setup supports flexible system configuration and simplifies installation and maintenance.

Designed for space-constrained environments

Technical spaces on board vessels are often limited and irregularly shaped. The EOH 1.1 system is designed to adapt to these conditions and can be integrated into confined engine room layouts. The flexible installation concept helps shipyards and integrators use available space efficiently.

Integrated safety concept

Safety is a central requirement in maritime battery systems. The EOH 1.1 integrates multiple safety mechanisms, including a passive fire suppression system and robust system monitoring. Combined with the use of LFP battery chemistry and compliance with class requirements, the system provides a high level of operational safety.

Reliable performance across operating conditions

Maritime applications require battery systems that perform reliably under varying environmental conditions. EOH 1.1 is designed to operate in a wide temperature range from −20 °C to +50 °C and is being prepared for deployment in demanding environments, including a research station in Antarctica.
